Summer School on Quantitative Research
Methodology and Practice
July 6-10, 2015, Yerevan

Objective
CRRC-Armenia
recognizes the need and demand for high quality social science research using
quantitative methodology in Armenia. The objective of the Summer School is to
develop participants’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills in different
stages of quantitative survey cycle, including survey design, sampling,
questionnaire development, fieldwork implementation, and data analysis.
Target groups
Post-graduate
students, junior researchers and faculty, young professionals interested in
quantitative research methodology.
Eligibility and Selection
The
Summer School is open to all qualified applicants with a background in social
sciences, some knowledge of statistics, and advanced level of computer literacy.
Language Requirement and Tools
All
the sessions will be in Armenian. Demonstrated English proficiency is required
for hand out materials and literature. Please, note that the Summer School is
computer-based, and each participant will be required to bring his/her personal
computer.
Application Process
Applications
will be accepted online through a competitive process. All applications will be
evaluated using the CRRC-Armenia evaluation form. Fifteen participants will be
selected to participate in the Summer School.
Certification
Participants
successfully completed the Summer School and passed the exam test will be
awarded a certificate.
Length
The
course will last five core days with evaluation and wrap up session on the fifth
day of school.
