Talia Lieberman came to CRRC with a background in economics and visual studies. Originally from Philadelphia and most recently living in Santa Cruz, CA, Talia came to Armenia through Birthright, a program that invites Diasporan Armenians to live, work, and contribute to the country. As a Research Fellow at CRRC, Talia collaborated with a migration expert, researching ways to improve the accuracy of migration data collection in the Caucasus. She also worked on her own personal research project analyzing data from the Caucasus Barometer to find correlations between certain indicators and the population’s desire to emigrate. Finally, she participated in a collaborative scientific paper writing group in which the team used World Values Survey data to understand the relationship between subjective well-being and feelings of peace and security in Armenia.
