Anna Ryzhova holds a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies, focusing on the History of China and Vietnam from Saint Petersburg State University. In 2012-2013, Anna did exchange studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Hanoi, Vietnam. Upon completing an undergraduate degree, she has started a Master’s degree in History in Saint Petersburg State University, which she interrupted after the first year due to getting an invitation to pursue her further education in Sweden. Currently, Anna is enrolled in the second year of a Master’s programme in Global Studies at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her research interests include, but are not limited to security/democracy nexus, Post-Soviet studies, national identity formation, nationalism, populism, etc.
