Promoting Youth Health and Participation
Purpose:
The purpose of the research is to highlight the mental health issues caused by the consequences of COVID-19 in order to promote the well-being and normal development of adolescents and young adults.
The research will make it possible to develop multi-level recommendations aimed at addressing the problems, in particular:
- Design professional interventions for young people to cope with psychological and psychiatric problems, to reduce violence in the family and outside the family among peers;
- Outline a framework of strategic projects, drawing the attention of international development partners and local non-governmental organizations to them;
- Develop public policy proposals at state, regional and community levels to improve sectoral policies in mental health and youth policy and related areas.
Methodology
A mixed-methods approach was used for the purposes of the study, combining qualitative and quantitative components, ensuring the complementary strengths and non-overlapping weaknesses of qualitative and quantitative objectives. The purpose of conducting this research is to use the results of the qualitative survey to verify, explain and interpret the results obtained from the mainly quantitative study. One of the strengths of this method is that the data collection steps are broken down into clear distinct phases.
