CPDE Country Support for the 3rd Monitoring Round
Project Description:
The objective of the project is to support the National Coordination Unit of Armenia to examine progress, opportunities, as well as impediments in implementing commitments under the general principles of the development partnership within the frame of Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) 2018 Monitoring through promoting effective engagement in and ensuring constructive dialogue/coordination with the representatives of the CSO sector in Armenia.
The project contributes to the more efficient, inclusive and action-oriented process for the CPDE country-level monitoring. Ultimately, the data provided by the project partners as a country-focal point serves as a source of information for CPDE to produce a CSO Report.
The project has been implemented in cooperation with the Protection of Rights without Borders NGO.
Research Design:
The project has started with an Orientation webinar conducted by the Global Secretariat and the CPDE 3MR Taskforce. The selected CSOs have been invited for a round-table meeting and introduced to the main concept of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation and Global Partnership’s monitoring process; on principles of effective development cooperation; Armenia’s progress made within that framework/Country Report by the National Coordination Unit. The data have been collected based on the questionnaire through individual discussions with the representatives of the CSOs.
The validated data and a brief summary on Global Partnership’s monitoring process have been posted online, requesting CSOs’ feedback.
A Country Report /analytical summary has been prepared based on the responses/feedback received from CSOs and conclusions made upon the finalization of discussion, submitted to the National Coordination Unit, and disseminated among the CSOs/other interested stakeholders.
