Monitoring and Assessing COVID-19 Resilience (Education, Health and Social Protection) in Armenia with Focus Groups Interviews
Through conducting this proposed study, CRRC-Armenia will aim to understand the resilience of everyday Armenians in overcoming the pandemic particularly in the sectors of health, education and social protection as well as the quality of service delivery during the crisis. This study will consist of 19 focus group interviews that will be conducted by phone. The focus groups will be conducted with the following target groups outlined below, and for each target group, at least one focus group discussion will be conducted with people in Yerevan and at least one will be conducted with people in other urban and rural areas.
- Education: 2xTeachers, 2xPrincipals, 3xParents
- Health: 2x Doctors, 2xNurses, 3xPatients from hospitals (not limited to COVID patients).
- Social Protection: 2xSocial Workers, 3xBeneficiaries from Social Programs
CRRC-Armenia will translate and use the draft survey instruments provided by the World Bank team for each sector and target group of the focus group discussions. These instruments will be modified and adapted to the local context. Each focus group will be conducted over a period of 1 ½ – 2 hours.
