Data is the key to social change and policymaking, yet reliable, up-to-date, and accessible data on social, political, and economic issues in the South Caucasus is not always available. CRRC-Armenia Foundation prioritizes ensuring reliable and high-quality data and maintaining its accessibility for the general public, researchers, journalists, and policymakers.
The Caucasus Barometer is the first, longest-running, and most widely used nationwide public opinion survey in Armenia and the South Caucasus. Since 2004, the Caucasus Barometer’s open data reflects how people think, live, and change. We provide policymakers, researchers, and citizens with reliable, comparable, and up-to-date data that checks the pulse of society.
The Barometer is a nationwide household survey, usually conducted every two years by the offices of CRRC-Armenia and CRRC-Georgia (and until 2015, also CRRC-Azerbaijan). Between 2004 and 2024, approximately 50,000 citizens of Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan participated in these surveys, answering a wide range of questions on socio-economic issues, values, beliefs, and political positions.
